Name Origin and Geographical Features of Mangaf
The original term of Mangaf is (النقفه) has two meanings; the first describes the actual nature of the area in the past, as it was an agricultural village built upon a hill overlooking the sea. The second meaning, according to some people, is that the area had unstable rocks, which would usually mean they moved from their location causing ships to also become unstable for a long period of time. As for the geographical features of Mangaf, it is not different from the nearby lands.
